My name is…
Jesus Leyva. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona. I am 14 years old. I attend Capitol Elementary School. I am an 8th grader. I love to play basketball. I have three heroes that inspire me to become a better person. My first hero is my basketball coach. He is a really great basketball player and I want to be as good as him. My second hero is my math teacher Mr. Roper. He is a fun teacher and I hope to be as fun as him. My last hero is my dad because he is a hard worker and always gets things done when he puts his mind into it.
I will be remembered for…
Being the tallest person on the basketball team. My friends will remember me for being skinny. The teachers at Capitol will remember me for being a hard working student that would help the others that need help. The little kids will remember me for being tall as well.
I will go onto…
To High School so I can play basketball. I also want to attend High School so I can get a good education. I want to leave high with good grades. When I pass High School, I want to go to college. During high school, I would try to get a scholarship.
I will become…
My goals in life are to get a good education in life. I want to be able to go to college and get a career in what I like to do. I want to play basketball in college and be seen so I can play in the NBA. I want to be able to help my family what they need help on. One of my favorite goals is to be a hard worker like my father.

ReplyDeleteIt has been really fun being your teacher for the last 3 years. You always entertained me with your great written stories and your good sense of humor. I have always been impressed by your devotion to your family and your sense of responsibility - you are one of the most trustworthy students I know - except when I catch you playing video games during study island! :-) Anyways, i hope you fulfill your dream of being in the NBA, and don't worry - there's nothing wrong with being skinny, right?!
Looking forward to Washington DC!
Good Luck and Peace Be With You.
Mr. Roper
